Vurnirn (Ver – NERN): Also known as the Centaur’s Cliff due to its locations atop the Deeprun Crevasse, Vurnirn is a centaur settlement situated in the north-east Hoofwood near the Myrfrus River north of the Daruthrost ruin. Little more than a roaming camp for years, the village served as a gathering place for the various centaur clans to gather and discuss issues and concerns which impact the totality of the centaur clans and to arbitrate disputes. In recent years as humans and centaurs have once more opened up lines of communications and trade, there has been a growing sense within the centaur community to create a more permanent and proper city.

With the emphasis to create a permanent settlement, there have been a small but growing list of buildings to provide continuing services throughout the year for all residents in the Dvezda Marches regardless of ethnicity. This is largely due to the influence of Prokhel Lavrenty, the town’s centaur Priestess of Abadar who serves as arbitrator for many disputes between clans. In this position she is the closest thing the town has to a mayor and is seen as being fair and open-minded, especially in disputes between centaurs and non-centaurs.

There are three roads which lead into/out of town. One leads northwest in the Dvezda Marches and onward into the Ice Steppes. The road leading southwest stretches across The Caemorin Planis and ultimately to Mirnbay on the coast of the Castrovin Sea. And lastly, being little more than a well worn path, the road southeast leads down into the Deeprun Crevasse and provides the only direct access to the Myrfrus River.

The current non-centaur residents are few in number, but is expected to steadily grow as there has been a renew interest in the wilds of the Marches and the Crevasse as word of many beautiful natural (and unnatural) wonders has reached south, Prokhel Lavrenty has begun a progrom to promote Vurnirn as a center for tourism. Many centaur leaders have begrudgingly acceded to this plan, but the influx of new monies is beginning to open a few more eyes.
